MG C GT 1968
Chassis No G-CD1 / 2137G £32500
This MG C has recently emerged from a protracted restoration and is in mint condition. It has a newly rebuilt engine to fast road spec with an original period Downton triple carb inlet and exhaust manifolds with Peter Burgess gas flowed and ported head, fully balanced with a lightened flywheel and MG Motorsports fast road cam making a very lively car indeed. It has a BMIHT Heritage certificate confirming supply by Sycamore of Peterborough (still in business but now BMW dealers) in July 1968. Remarkably it has had only two local owners from new - the first keeping the car for almost forty years and the second undertaking a long term restoration only recently completed. With a powerful yet tractable engine and rebuilt gearbox with overdrive , polybushed front suspension upgrades and a "quick" rack it is an excellent driving car which looks purposeful and attractive.
