MASERATI KHAMSIN RHD 1979
Chassis N0 AM 420-409
This striking Maserati is number 409 of 430 Khamsins built between 1972 and 1980. Styled by Marcello Gandini and built by Bertone the Khamsin was the top of the Maserati range. At the time Maserati was owned by Citroen and in addition to its 4.9 litre V8 producing 320 bhp and practical 2+2 bodywork the Khamsin has power steering and brakes borrowed from the Citroen DS/SM making for a very benign supercar. This rare manual example is one of only 23 UK delivered cars and is in excellent condition with lots of recent history with Maserati specialists and a glass out bare metal repaint in 2012. The beige leather interior is lovely - original and with just the right patina. The car has Maserati Classische documents showing despatch to Modena Concessionaires, London on 21.3.79.
