AC ACE BROOKLANDS 1993
Chassis No PA 017002 SOLD

The Ace Brooklands was the result of an extensive development programme by the "new" AC company controlled by Brian Angliss and Ford Motor Co and built in the new Brooklands factory. The car featured a 4.7 litre Ford V8 with either manual or automatic gearbox in an entirely new stainless steel chassis with aluminium bodywork and about 70 were made between 1993 and 2000. This manual gearbox car was the first production model and the 1993 Earls Court Motor Show car. Sold by the factory to its only owner, a dedicated AC collector, it has covered 28000 miles from new.
Unique features of this car include a different rear deck treatment, a high performance engine, and a manual hood (the power hood fitted to later cars proved troublesome). Finished in dark blue with grey and blue interior the car is  in superb order, almost unmarked, recently fully serviced and with a fresh MOT. It is one of the finest  examples in existence.

It is some time since we have had an Ace Brooklands and we have been really enjoying this car. We are very surprised how well it drives and how practical and comfortable it is. It has plenty of power but is tractable, the gearbox is sweet and the steering light with powerful brakes. What an interesting car - and considering the specification it is something of a bargain and a unique opprtunity for the AC enthusiast. A detailed history file and road tests of this car in period publications are included.
